Knife Crime with Northumbria Violence Reduction Unit

Northumbria Violence Reduction Unit attended Mary Astell Academy to deliver one of their many focus areas which are scheduled with our provision. Karen and Sarah have been attending Mary Astell Academy, getting to know our young people, offering a wealth of information. Virtual reality headsets were brought to this particular session offering real life experiences based on knife crime situations, demonstrating how scenarios can quickly escalate, also how to make the right decisions.
