The Better Health at Work Award Online Ceremony was held on the 31st March 2022.
Well done to all who participated and helped gain this award. As part of the awards ceremony, as it was online, there wasn't the opportunity for the individual handing of certificates. Instead, each recipient had the chance to create their own trophy which they present to themselves.
At Mary Astell, our approach to the creation of such a trophy took the route of staff brain storming and individuals producing simple sketches. Where upon the best of each were selected and put together into a final design proposal. The making of the trophy was split between staff members who believed they could confidently create the design intentions.
The finished creation, although splendid, failed to get finished in time to be photographed and sent into the best 3 trophies from this years BHAWA. The trophy still played a prominent role during the ceremony as it was placed front and center of our zoom feed.
Part of the ceremony was the sharing of good practices at each level, and different ways in which case studies have been delivered recorded and shared with staff.
To break up the event there was a health advocate quick-fire online quiz for the first 100 logged in, after a shaky start Mary Astell finished a respectable 38th.
Next for Mary Astell staff wellbeing is the silver level. To gain this, there are 4 campaigns and many new and interesting challenges, so keep checking emails and the wellbeing board.
